As Owls are welcomed back to campus, Kennesaw State’s club sports are recruiting new members.
The equestrian club team is recruiting students all across the Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses. They are looking for competitive riders, both beginners and experienced are welcome. Non-competitive riders are also accepted along with alum riders and all other levels.
The Head Coach of the equestrian team is Lucy Molinari. Molinari is coaching at the Five Star Hunters in Canton, GA. Their skills check date is Friday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. In order to be eligible for the equestrian team, all riders must have and maintain a minimum of a 2.0 KSU GPA, complete a concussion test, and have adequate time for team meetings, sponsorship events, work barn day and workouts. All competing riders must be full-time students and meet the above requirements. The equestrian club had an interest meeting on August 23 at 8 p.m. at the Kennesaw Sturgis Library Room 113.
The women’s soccer club is also looking to recruit new members. They will not have games on weekends but have advertised having team bonding and game nights. The women’s club soccer recently had a deadline of Aug. 28 to complete team submissions. The team packet and IMPACT test must be submitted to IMLeagues. In addition, training starts on Aug. 29 and is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-10 p.m.
In order to officially be a member of any club sport, you must first become a registered athlete. Students have to complete the registration forms here: mysportsrec.kennesaw.edu.
