Gunmen killed five and wounded another five after opening fire at a bar in Cancún, Mexico on Saturday.
A group of four men entered La Kuka, a club located near Cancún’s seaside tourist hotel zone. The men were armed with a long gun and three handguns, Independent reported.
Two out of the five people injured remained in critical condition on Sunday, Fox News reported.

Violence has increased in Cancún since the Jalisco New Generation cartel moved into the area and began fighting other gangs for control, according to The Guardian.
In January, seven people died in a shooting due to a conflict involving drug dealers, authorities said at the time. The attack was linked to the Jalisco cartel, according to Tthe Guardian.
Authorities reported that 774 people were killed in the state last year — more than double the 359 killings that occurred in 2017, according to Fox News.
