Skeletal remains that were discovered in Kennesaw in 2024 have been positively identified as Sean Gill.
On June 10, 2024, skeletal remains were discovered by an anonymous man picking blueberries in the 4000 block of George Busbee Parkway. The man reported the discovery to a nearby Cobb County municipal employee, who then reported the finding to the Kennesaw Police Department. At the time, all that could be discerned was that the remains were those of an adult. The remains were transported to the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office for a full autopsy.
The KSU Sentinel has received the autopsy report from the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office. The remains were identified in 2024 as those of 55-year-old Sean Gill. His identification was not reported publicly at the time.
Sean Gill was 55 when he died sometime in 2024. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation positively identified him through DNA testing. His manner of death is listed as a suicide. The case is closed.
