Track and Field attends Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational

On Saturday, April 1, track and field competed at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational.

In the Texas Relays, Tyler Blalock finished ninth in shot put after landing a mark of 18.77m (61’7″) while Courtney Lawrence ended 14th in shot put following a mark of (58’9.25″).

During the Bobcat Invitational, Corbin McLean took home second place in the 100m hurdles with a posted a time of 13.62 seconds.

McLean then accomplished ninth in the 100m after posting a time of 11.90 seconds.

“Certainly not the results we were looking for in some areas but I believe this is a trip that we needed,” KSU Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel said.Seeing where you stack up against the best in the country in a big meet is what we need to do. It was fun to see Sultan Simms and Simon Seid get wins and I thought Corbin McLean competed really well all weekend.”

The Owls will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 21-22.
