On Saturday, April 1, track and field competed at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational.
In the Texas Relays, Tyler Blalock finished ninth in shot put after landing a mark of 18.77m (61’7″) while Courtney Lawrence ended 14th in shot put following a mark of (58’9.25″).
During the Bobcat Invitational, Corbin McLean took home second place in the 100m hurdles with a posted a time of 13.62 seconds.
McLean then accomplished ninth in the 100m after posting a time of 11.90 seconds.
“Certainly not the results we were looking for in some areas but I believe this is a trip that we needed,” KSU Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel said.“Seeing where you stack up against the best in the country in a big meet is what we need to do. It was fun to see Sultan Simms and Simon Seid get wins and I thought Corbin McLean competed really well all weekend.”
The Owls will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 21-22.
