“Today could have been a tricky match, having to go indoors against a talented indoor team, but the guys did a really good job of getting up for it and taking care of business,” Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. “I want to thank our seniors for everything they have sacrificed for our program over the years.”
“Among many other accolades, Kevin, Seru, and Kenneth helped lead us to our first ASUN title,” Emery said. “Our program would not be where it is today without the investment, buy-in, and resiliency over the years.”
With this win, the Owls are locked in to play in the ASUN Conference Tournament. KSU will enter as the No. 5 seed and will compete against No. 12 Austin Peay on Thursday, April 13 in Bellarmine. The time of the event will be determined at a later date.
On April 21, the Owls will face number 1 seed, FGCU, as KSU advances in the ASUN Tournament in hopes of competing in the Conference Finals on April 22.
