There are many cool music festivals coming up this spring and summer; here is a guide on what to bring and where to go for each of them.
Shaky Knees
The Shaky Knees Music Festival takes place in Central Park in Atlanta on May 5 until May 7, 2023. Tickets are now on sale for their 10-year anniversary. Most of the artists attending play mostly alternative, rock and indie music. Friday’s music lineup includes The Killers, Greeta Van Fleet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Manchester Orchestra, Grouplove and many more. Saturday’s lineup includes Muse, Tenacious D, The Front Bottoms, Suki Waterhouse and plenty more. Lastly, Sunday’s artists include The Lumineers, Hozier, The Flaming Lips, The Walkmen and so many more. This festival has over 60 bands and amazing local food trucks – you can even buy VIP packs. One-day general admission tickets start at $119 and three-day general admission starts at $269.
Riverbend Festival
Riverbend is a popular annual music festival in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee from May 2 to May 4. The three-day general admission ticket includes over 20 performances across the weekend, access to the Walnut Street Bridge, official merchandise, concessions and dozens of vendors and fireworks shows. The lineup for the 40th anniversary includes COIN, Goose, Maren Morris, Gayle and many other rock and indie artists. Children 10 years and under can come along for free, while tickets for everyone else start at $130, so get your wristbands today.
Rosa Blanca Wine and R&B Music Festival
If indie and rock music are not your things, then this Wine and R&B Festival is another option. This two-day festival takes place on May 13 and 14 in Atlanta at Piedmont Park. Keep an eye out for more information as the season starts getting warmer.
After Hours Indoor Atlanta
If you cannot commit to a weekend of music in the hot weather, then this After Hours Festival is only one day and indoors. The R&B and blues music is live from 7 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. It is held in Lithonia, Georgia, which is only 30 minutes away from downtown Atlanta. Tickets start at $20 for early birds and only go up to $30 for VIPs and a free CD. The lineup includes five artists: Let It Rip Band, Eartha Sims, Hocks Invisible Man Band, Claudette King and Willie Hill.
Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival
If you love all kinds of music, arts and traveling, Bonnaroo is a top-tier option. This festival is held in Manchester, Tennessee from June 15 to 18. From Thursday to Sunday, there are so many famous artists attending including Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, Suki Waterhouse, Kendrick Lamar, Noah Kahan, Fleet Foxes, Odesza, Lil Nas X, Foo Fighters, Paramore, Girl in Red, Hippo Campus, Peach Pit and so many more singers and bands. The one-day general admission starts at $175 and the four-day general admission starts at $340. Make sure you get your tickets before they are sold out.
