Kennesaw State’s Police Department responded to a call for an attempted break-in at the Stacks restaurant in the Burruss Building Monday, Jan. 6.
Officer Billy Greer arrived at Stacks at 11:11 a.m., where Retail Operations Manager for University Dining Chanetta Carmichael Bailey told Greer someone tried to break into Stacks, according to KSUPD’s police report.
Bailey told Greer that University Dining staff initially noticed damage to the rear door at 6:30 a.m., when they were making food for the day Monday, according to the report. Greer reported that the rear door of the restaurant appeared as if someone had tried to pry it open.
Dining staff made Bailey aware of the attempted break-in at 7:30 that morning. They also recalled that the damage to the rear door had not been there Sunday when they went into work that day at 8 a.m., according to the report.
Bailey told Greer that no money from the safe at the back of Stacks had been stolen and the door to the safe was undamaged.
In the area where the door appeared to have been pried open, there were no cameras to record the incident, according to the report.
