Meet the Sentinel’s new Arts & Living editor

Hey there, my name is Jade Pendergast and I am currently a sophomore communications major looking to major in either media and entertainment or journalism and emerging media. My hope is to have a career involving video games to some extent.

Hailing from Duluth, I gained a passion for writing while taking an AP English Language class at Peachtree Ridge High School. Learning French is also one of my personal interests and I am pursuing a French minor in addition to my undergraduate degree. In my current French class, I enjoy pulling off difficult syntax and phrases.

Before this Spring semester, I had yet to involve myself in any organization at KSU, so I was on the lookout for something that could be both a learning experience and applicable to my major. Editing at the Sentinel was the perfect fit. I hope to see the Arts and Living section grow this semester and encourage positive changes when the opportunity is ripe. Most of all, I am excited about the experience I will gain working at the Sentinel.

My pastimes include playing video games and learning the dances to K-pop songs. The video game I play the most is League of Legends and I am also currently learning the dance to Tiki Taka by Weki Meki. Occasionally I paint, cook and write poetry to relieve stress.
