Road rage under investigation

Reckless driving and early morning road rage reportedly led to a fight in the central parking deck on Nov. 4.

According to police reports, a male student was cut off by another vehicle while trying to turn onto Frey Road around 8 a.m. He honked his horn at the other driver and told police he threw his hands in the air as he drove around the car.

As he approached the central parking deck, the car returned and drove recklessly behind him. He parked, and the woman from the other car suddenly jumped into his vehicle and began punching him in the face.

She stopped and left the scene when the male reportedly stated that his father was a police officer.

An employee of KSU had followed the drivers into the parking deck after seeing the woman’s reckless driving and witnessed the incident. The employee told police she did not see any physical altercation between the two drivers and only witnessed arguing and rude remarks.

Officers have contacted the female driver and requested her to report to the police station to answer some questions about the alleged road rage incident.
