Read us a story: children’s book exhibit at the library

Release – Join Winnie the Pooh, Babar, and Maurice Sendak’s creatures for a tour through the world of children’s literature. Explore the design, history, and imagination of your favorite childhood books through the Bentley Rare Book Gallery’s newest interactive exhibition.
The event will feature a live reading and musical performance inspired by Jean de Brunhoff’s The Story of Babar the Little Elephantthe chance to create a children’s book, a raffle, and the launch of Friends of the Bentley. The musical performance features the Kanzanetti Quartet’s arrangement of Passport Ready? Musical Journeys: Paris (Babar’s Museum of Art).
Guests may bring a favorite children’s book to donate to the Big Shanty Intermediate Media Center. The exhibition and reception are appropriate for all ages; no reservations required.
