Kennesaw State football will play Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd stadium to open the 2021 season on Sept. 4, the program announced on Monday.
The announcement marks the second FBS team KSU has scheduled after arranging a game against another Atlanta university in Georgia State for the 2018 season. KSU will compete in the Big South Conference when the program begins its first ever season next fall.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to play Georgia Tech,” KSU head coach Brian Bohannon told KSUOwls.com. Bohannon previously served as the quarterbacks and B-backs coach at Georgia Tech under Paul Johnson.
KSU’s first game is against East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tennessee Sept. 3, 2015. The first home game at Fifth Third Bank Stadium will be Sept. 12, 2015 when the Owls face Edward Waters.
