KSU’s men’s tennis team opened the fall portion of the 2019-20 season on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Liberty University Invitational with Osorio and Lahey leading the Owls to a doubles win.

The KSU men’s tennis team advanced to its third ASUN semifinal in four seasons, defeating Stetson before falling to FGCU.

Fermin Calvo Barcelo broke the men’s tennis program record for career singles victories, while Kendall Nash fought back from a set down to win.

The women’s tennis team won their first match of the season against Murray State, while the men swept two teams.

The men’s and women’s tennis teams were in home action over the weekend, as the women played on Friday, Feb. 1, and Saturday, Feb. 2, before the men played their season-opening match on Feb. 3.

The Kennesaw State tennis programs are set to begin their spring seasons soon, as several new players and coaches will shape the identity and success of the teams.

The KSU tennis teams competed at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships in Jacksonville, Florida, over the weekend as the men won their first match against Lipscomb 4-1 before falling to North Florida 4-1 and the women losing out to Stetson 4-0.

The men’s and women’s tennis teams played twice last week, facing off against the New Jersey Institute of Technology at home on Thursday, April 12, before playing USC Upstate on Saturday.

The men’s and women’s tennis teams lost in their Atlantic Sun Conference opening matches against Lipscomb on Saturday, March 24, but the men rebounded on Sunday to defeat Gardner-Webb.

The men’s tennis team defeated South Carolina State 4-3 on Sunday, March 18, winning its fifth out of its last six matches and built considerable momentum heading into conference play.
