Owls lose late lead, fall 5-3 to Louisville in Super Regional opener

KSU lead 3-2, but lost the lead late to fall behind 0-1 in the NCAA Super Regional at Patterson Stadium in Louisville, Ky., on Friday.

KSU has won national titles as an NAIA and NCAA DII program. It’s now two wins from advancing to the College World Series.

Sophomore pitcher Travis Bergen earned 26 of 27 outs as KSU shutout Alabama 1-0 in the Tallahassee Regional opener on Friday.

Coming in hot, there’s no reason to believe KSU doesn’t belong in NCAA field.
