Former Kennesaw State Student found dead in off campus apartment

A 22-year-old former Kennesaw State University student was found dead Aug. 29 inside his off-campus apartment in Cobb County, according to Cobb County Police.

Officers responded to Parliament Apartments at 3079 Hidden Forest Court at approximately 10:50 a.m. Aug. 29 for a welfare check. Police said officers initially received no answers before contacting apartment leasing staff, who provided access to the residence.

Kennesaw State University confirmed that Green was a former student who was not enrolled for the fall 2026 semester. The university said his death did not occur in KSU campus housing.

Officers then found Larry Green deceased inside the apartment. The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Green dead, and police said his next of kin was notified.

The investigation was turned over to detectives with the department’s Major Crimes Unit. Police said there were no signs of foul play and that the investigation remain active.

WSB-TV previously reported that Green’s mother contacted police after she had not heard from him since Aug. 19. The station also reported that Green’s roommates had not realized he had died.

The official cause of death has not been released.
