Kennesaw State men’s and women’s basketball have released their Conference USA schedules for the 2026-2027 season, moving down from 20 to 18 conference games, nine at home and nine on the road.
The men begin conference play with a three-game homestand, first on New Year’s Eve against Western Kentucky, followed by games against Middle Tennessee State and rival Jacksonville State.
“Our conference is as competitive as it’s ever been, and every night presents a challenge,” coach Antoine Pettway said in a release. “We’re excited for the opportunity to defend our championship in front of our fans and compete against another outstanding Conference USA schedule.”
Following the opening homestand, the Owls hit the road, facing Sam Houston on Jan. 14 and New Mexico State on Jan. 16.
KSU returns to VyStar Arena the following week for games against Delaware on Jan. 21 and long-time rival Liberty on Jan. 23 before closing January with road contests at Missouri State on Jan. 28 and Florida International on Jan. 30.
February opens with the second game in the rivalry matchup at Jax State on Feb. 6 before the Owls return home for consecutive games against NMSU on Feb. 11 and SHSU on Feb. 13.
KSU then travels to LU on Feb. 18 and UD on Feb. 20 before closing its home conference slate against MO State on Feb. 25 and FIU on Feb. 27.
The regular season concludes with a pair of road games at MTSU on Mar. 4 and WKU on Mar. 6.
On the women’s side, the Owls will travel to WKU on Jan. 2 to begin the 2026-2027 CUSA schedule in coach Tianni Kelly’s first season at the helm.
KSU faces MTSU and Jax State on the road before beginning the CUSA home slate on Jan. 14 against SHSU.
After not traveling to Delaware and Liberty last season, the Owls will do so this year. The Jan. 21 trip to Newark, Delaware will be KSU’s first-ever visit to the home of the Fightin’ Blue Hens.
MO State and FIU will both travel to Kennesaw this season after missing the road trip in 2025-26, with KSU hosting MO State for the first time on Jan. 28.
With the recent departure of Louisiana Tech and the University of Texas at El Paso from CUSA, each of the now 10 member institutions will qualify for the conference postseason championship tournament.
