Kennesaw State football alumni Coleman BennettCaleb Offord and Gabriel Benyard will each have opportunities to make it on football’s biggest stage, signing NFL contracts as undrafted free agents.

No Owls heard their name called through the three days of the NFL Draft, but Bennett and Offord didn’t have to wait long after to find their professional landing spots.

Bennett, who led KSU with 764 rushing yards and totaled 1,078 all-purpose yards, was signed by the Chicago Bears.

“From Day 1. He always carried himself like a pro. @ColemanBennett_ Go Be Great!” Owls coach Jerry Mack posted on X.

Offord found a home shortly thereafter, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders. Offord, a college journeyman who spent time at four different schools, compiled his best statistical season with KSU, finishing with career-highs in tackles with 47 and pass deflections with 12.

“Well Deserved! Extremely grateful & happy for this guy. Something special happening @kennesawstfb,” Mack posted on X.

Benyard, the Owls leading receiver, who finished last season with 1,066 scrimmage yards and 11 total touchdowns, had to wait an extra day to find a landing spot but was signed by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

“Extraordinary Talent! Thank you for trusting and Believing Look at GOD @gabrielbenyard1,” Mack posted on X.

Former Owl Carlos Allen Jr. who spent the last two seasons at Houston was signed by the Atlanta Falcons.

All four players will look to join the company of Travis Bell and Auzoyah Alufohai as the only former Owls to appear in an NFL regular season game.
