Kennesaw State men’s basketball revealed its 20-game Conference USA schedule Thursday, shortly after adding a multi-team event, Southern Wesleyan and South Florida to its non-conference schedule.
As CUSA transitions from an 18 to 20-game conference schedule for men’s basketball this season, the Owls will face each team in the conference twice, with the exception of Florida International and UTEP.
The slate will begin with an away game at Middle Tennessee State on Dec. 16, prior to the expected conclusion of non-conference play.
KSU’s following two conference matchups are scheduled for after the turn of the year, on Jan. 2 at Liberty and Jan. 4 at conference newcomer Delaware.
Anther CUSA newcomer, Missouri State, is scheduled to serve as the CUSA home-opener matchup for the Owls at the Convocation Center on Jan. 7, kicking off a three-game homestand in which the Owls are scheduled host Jacksonville State on Jan. 10 and FIU on Jan. 14.
Next, the Owls are scheduled to hit the road for three consecutive contests. First at Western Kentucky on Jan. 17, then at Sam Houston State on Jan. 21 and Louisiana Tech on Jan. 24.
Four of the Owls’ following five games are scheduled to be played at home, including WKU on Jan. 28, New Mexico State on Jan. 31, MTSU on Feb. 12 and SHSU on Feb. 14, with a lone road game at JSU on Feb. 7.
KSU will return to the road for its first trip to Springfield, Missouri, since 2011 to face the Bears on Feb. 18 before returning home to face LTU on Feb. 21.
The Owls are scheduled to remain in Kennesaw the following week to host LU on Feb. 26 and UD on Feb. 28 before rounding out their regular season with trips to UTEP on Mar. 4 and NMSU on Mar. 7.
For what is expected to be a tribute series in honor of the late Amir Abdur-Rahim, who found success coaching at Kennesaw State and South Florida, the Owls are scheduled to host the Bulls in Kennesaw on Nov. 16 and make a trip to Tampa sometime between Nov. 15-21, 2026.
KSU is also scheduled to reunite with former conference rival Florida Gulf Coast at a multi-team event tentatively labeled the “Gulf Coast Showcase” at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida, this Nov. 24-26. Other participants remain to be announced.
Rounding out their recent additions to the slate, the Owls are scheduled to host Division-II opponent Southern Wesleyan on Dec. 8. SWU is set to receive a $3,500 payout for the contest.
With the possibility of the Owls’ neutral-site matchup with Alabama being a part of a multi-team event, KSU currently sits with 30-31 games on the calendar, likely meaning the schedule is complete.
