Kennesaw State football is set to face Indiana for a second time in three years in Bloomington, Indiana on Sept. 4, 2027.
Per a copy of the contract in which the game was agreed upon obtained from Kennesaw State University via an open records request, the Owls have added the Hoosiers to their 2027 non-conference schedule.
Mirroring the upcoming 2025 matchup between the two programs, IU is set to payout $1.3 million to KSU, with a $1 Million fixed fee in the case of cancellation.
The addition of the game brings KSU’s agreed upon non-conference matchup compensation total up to $5.775 million between 2025 and 2030.
Following this season’s long-announced contest on Sept. 6, the matchup is set to be the second between the programs, adding to frequent meetings between the schools since 2015 in other sports including men’s basketball, softball and volleyball.
Despite the contest being legally agreed upon and signed on by both athletic departments, Indiana is still currently set to face Virginia on the same date according to UVA’s official athletics website.
Virginia’s athletic department has been contacted for clarification.
