The Tetley Lecture series presented by the Coles College of Business continues to break barriers after 20 years, as they bring Daymond John, President and Founder of FUBU clothing Line and investor in ABC’s new show “Shark Tank,” to speak on campus.
This lecture will allow students to hear from the fashion mogul turned motivational speaker, author, and now, a star investor on ABC’s hit show about entrepreneurship “Shark Tank.”
Through his reputation as FUBU’s CEO John become a sought after consultant for many businesses and celebrity clients. His knowledge of marketing, negotiation and entrepreneurship gained him notoriety and numerous awards including the NAACP Entrepreneurs award, Crain’s Business of New York Forty Under Forty Award, and Brandweek Marketer of the Year.
“Display of Power,” John’s autobiography, was named one of the best business books in 2007, and in his book “The Brand Within,” John discusses the relationship between customers and companies.
The event will take place March 28 at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The lecture is open to students and community guests. Early arrival is suggested.
