The Owls start off their four game road trip with a pair of losses against Liberty and Florida International.
The Owls entered their first game of the road trip on Jan 30 against Liberty on a two game winning streak after beating UTEP and New Mexico State at home.
They fell 74-39 as they now sit at 0-12 all-time against the Flames.
Shooting woes proved harmful for the Owls as they shot 16-59 (27.1%) from the field, 2-14 (14.3%) from three point range and 5-9 (55.6%) from the free throw line.
The Owls would be outscored in the paint 36-18 and off the bench, 37-1.
Carly Hooks led the team in scoring with 18 points, while also grabbing six rebounds and blocking two shots.
Prencis Harden scored double figures with 12 points while also grabbing a team-leading seven rebounds.
In their second game of the road trip, the Owls dropped a closely contested matchup against FIU 65-64.
The Owls stood at halftime down 32-25, before outscoring the Panthers 39-33 in the second half.
The team entered the fourth quarter down 46-40, but fought back as a 9-0 Owls run in the final five minutes would bring the game within one point, 57-56.
The run would be sparked by a jump shot by Keyarah Berry, before getting contributions in the form of three made free throw by Hooks, a layup by Berry and a layup by Lee Lee Willis.
The Owls would take their first lead of the quarter as Willis hit a jumper with 11 seconds left to put the team up 64-63. However on the next possession, Judit Valero would hit a layup with seven seconds remaining to give the Panthers the win.
They now sit at 0-3 all-time against the Panthers.
The Owls were led by Willis who scored 16 points and grabbed a team-leading three steals. Three other players scored in double figures with Berry scoring 14, Harden scoring 12, and Keiara Griffin scoring 10.
Harden had a team-leading seven rebounds and also tallied two steals. Berry would have two steals, while Griffin grabbed five rebounds and had three blocks.
The team will continue its road trip in its next two matchups against Western Kentucky on Feb. 6 and Middle Tennessee on Feb. 8.
Following this trip, the Owls will return to the Convocation Center for a two game home series against Sam Houston on Feb. 15 and UTEP on Feb. 20.
They sit on a 8-12 record on the season, including 3-6 against their conference opponents.
