“You know, I think as a unit I think we really worked through some stuff to keep our foot on the gas when things weren’t just flowing naturally,” Head Coach Laura Maness said.
In response to the comeback attempt Maness continued, “So, I’m really proud to see how we kept our heads held high and really put ourselves in a good situation in the fourth quarter for our comeback.”
Maness reflected on the results of the game noting, “We knew that we could do that. In our last game against Winthrop. We had a really good fourth quarter, so to see them do that again, to really make that final push into a one-goal game, I was really proud of that final push.”
“I think that shows you know that we’re not going to ever give up, we’re going to work through things. It was also really good to see some of my younger players stepping up and scoring down the stretch. Specifically, Shannon Harrington making a goal down that stretch.” Maness said highlighting the efforts of the Owls.
On Sunday, Feb. 26, the Owls will head to Eugene, OR. to compete against the Oregon Ducks at 3 p.m. PST.
