Kennesaw State’s Adult and Commuter Student Affairs department is putting together a website designed to make finding off-campus housing easier for students.
Kennesaw off-campus will provide information about local housing options to KSU students.
Along with local housing options, the site will offer “information regarding what to look for in a leasing agreement, sample leases, on and off campus resources and a message board,” said Todd Powell, assistant director of the ACSA.
Powell said landlords will also be able to post rooms and properties.
“Users can also buy and sell books, furniture and other personal items through posts on the website,” Powell said.
The website will also include roommate profiles to aid students in finding compatible users to live with.
Powell said that the profiles allow users to, “share their idea of the perfect roommate and social media links. Users can also share whether they already have a lease and [look] to add a compatible roommate to the agreement.”
The site is not complete yet, but ACSA plans to have it up sometime in March. If students go to kennesawoffcampus.com, they can enter their email to receive information about the site and updates on when it will be up and running.
