(From press reports) – It has been a strange (pun intended) ride for the radio drama that got its start on KSU’Owl Radio’s air waves.
The Harry Strange Radio Drama is performing live at DragonCon (Atlanta) this year (Sept 2-5). The full-cast supernatural thriller was created and written by HWA member Tony Sarrecchia and will be part of the Atlanta Radio Theater Company’s regular DragonCon performances. The show is a full-cast play performed as a radio drama.
The Harry Strange Radio Drama is the winner of multiple awards including the prestigious Best of Festival in Audio from the Broadcasters Education Association. Harry Strange in the Stones of Solomon, a collection of the show’s first season scripts, reached number 4 in the General Radio Entertainment category on Amazon.
The Harry Strange Radio drama launched on Kennesaw State University’s Owl Radio in 2011 and it’s been a wild ride says Mr. Sarrecchia–“people love radio drama. Everywhere we go, fans tell us how much they enjoy the show and the fact that it [radio drama] engages their minds in ways other media cannot.”
