KSU Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams announced on Tuesday that men’s basketball head coach Lewis Preston will return to the team after the 2013-2014 season is completed.
Preston took a leave of absence on Jan. 2 due to personal and medical reasons. In his third year as head coach for the Owls, Preston was 2-12 this season before taking his leave of absence. Jimmy Lallathin has taken over the team as interim head coach since and will continue to do so until Preston’s return.
“I feel that it is in the best interest of Kennesaw State men’s basketball that Lewis returns to coaching the team at the conclusion of this season,” Williams said. “I have the utmost confidence in this program, and that the current student-athletes, assistant coaches and Coach Preston will take this program in the right direction.”
