The $3 million, 9,200-square-foot Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art expansion broke ground on Tuesday, Sept.
25, 2012. The new facility will house three galleries, and the museum will be named after Zuckerman who donated $2 million in honor of his wife, an artist. The new museum will hold more than 1,000 works in their permanent collection, including pieces by Norman Rockwell and Howard Finster. The new building is being constructed by Possibility Construction Incorporated, and is expected to open around March of 2013.
