Linda,

My name is Chris Bryant. I am currently a senior at KSU in Sport Management and the point of contact for the whiffle ball tournament. I would like to invite all the readers to come out, have some fun and help us raise money for Kyle’s foundation.

The idea of the whiffle ball tournament derived from the Sport Marketing class with professor Shane Smith. Our group decided to help Kyle Pease, who is also a KSU grad, raise awareness for his foundation (race.kylepease.org) for our event project.

Kyle is a quadriplegic that races in triathlons with his two older brothers. They compete on a national level.  We thought a whiffle ball tournament would be lots of fun for college students; Frats and Sororities in particular.

We are looking for four co-ed teams to compete in a round robin type tournament on Saturday April 7th, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Acworth Park & Recreation’s disabilities field (Kenworth Park). We would like to combine disabled athletes to compete with the able athletes. The cost is $50 a team. Each person that participates will receive a free lunch (hot dog, chips, and water).

While teams are not playing whiffle ball they can compete in corn hole games. It will be a fun filled day.

The goal is to get as many people as possible out to the park that Saturday to hear Kyle speak. Kyle has a goal to get 1000 people to like his Facebook page, and we’d like to help him reach his goal.

Thank you for your willingness to promote this event in the KSU sentinel.

Take care & God Bless,

Chris Bryant

Dear Chris,

I think Kyle is a “Powerhouse” of a human being. I had the pleasure to meet him because my son Austin will run in the 5K Marathon in Atlanta, in March. The foundation is designed to help kids with disabilities participate in sporting events.

Lets show Kyle our support by liking his Facebook page, under Kyle Pease. His website is http://race.kylepease.org/. I invite you to check out the power of what can be accomplished with a positive attitude and the right support.

Thank you in advance for coming together and showing our fellow KSU graduate your support!

Cheers,

Linda
