KSU Police respond to property theft at Austin Residence Complex

Kennesaw State’s Police Department responded to a call Thursday, March 5, about a theft at Austin Residence Complex’s South Parking Lot.

KSUPD responded to a call at 11:56 a.m. from KSU student Gwendolyn McIntyre, who was the victim of theft of items from her vehicle, according to KSUPD’s report.

McIntyre told KSUPD Officer Marco Gerardo she parked her car in ARC’s south lot at around midnight that day. Upon calling police, the victim said her wallet and backpack were missing from her vehicle.

Inside the victim’s wallet were her driver’s license, KSU ID card and her debit card. Her backpack contained her laptop, according to the report. The victim said she locked her car before going inside ARC.

Gerardo checked McIntyre’s car for signs of forced entry and found that the window seals of the left rear and right-front passenger side doors had been lifted and then partly attached back. The victim said her car had not been like that prior to this incident.

Gerardo photographed the car and told the victim to contact him if she figures out the make, model and serial number of her laptop so it could be added to the Georgia Crime Information Center.
