Best of KSU: Andretti Indoor Karting and Games, Bowlero win best entertainment

Kennesaw State students on the Kennesaw campus voted on Bowlero as their favorite entertainment spot in this year’s Best of KSU poll, and students on the Marietta campus voted on Andretti Indoor Karting and Games as their favorite place to spend time off of campus.

Bowlero offers a fun and relaxing environment for a late-night kickback for students and their friends. The bowling alley offers a full bar, a full dining experience, black light bowling, arcade games and more while also providing a retro-inspired atmosphere.

Originally a Brunswick Zone XL, Bowlero is located on Cobb Place Boulevard in Kennesaw — less than four miles from the Kennesaw campus. The bowling alley transformed from a Brunswick Zone XL late in 2016 after the company decided to take a different direction with the alley, aiming to bring in college-aged and older patrons rather than focusing on being entirely family-centered.

The location in Kennesaw underwent major renovations, replacing the bowling lanes, updating the gaming area and adding in a new bar and menu to offer a new experience for its guests.

Bowlero now also holds a college night every Thursday starting at 9 p.m., offering college students a deal on unlimited bowling and pizza.

Andretti Indoor Karting and Games offers many of the same features of Bowlero, including bowling lanes, a full dining experience, plenty of arcade games and a bar. What makes Andretti a unique experience separate from Bowlero, however, is its indoor go-karts.

The Marietta location, on Roswell road near the KSU campus, offers three different tracks for those looking to race their friends and fellow patrons, according to its website. The advanced track gives more experienced drivers the opportunity to test their skills on a more technical and challenging track, while a second track with less twists and curves offers an easy and fun time for first-time and less experienced drivers. A third, shorter track also offers younger drivers the opportunity to race their family and friends.

Andretti Indoor Karting and Games also offers special deals and discounts during the week for students to take advantage of. Students can learn more about these discounts and more on the company’s website.
